While I was laid up recuperating from an ill-advised ski-mountaineering race Rose and Betty got out into the freshly fallen snow and skied up the hill behind the Chalet, up and down the drive and basically everywhere within reach over the afternoon. We've been enjoying this 'real' winter we're getting so far this year though we have had to hire somone twice to front end load out our driveway. Probably gotten about 7' of snow in the last 5 weeks...Friday, January 26, 2007

Blizzard #3

Another 8" of snow and now 100mph winds have buried the Chalet once again. Luckily for us we parked the truck up on Coal Creek last night and were able to hike out the driveway (2'+ deep, again) this morning and get into town. More snow is forecast for Thurs/Fri so we may have to stock the larder as we may not be leaving for awhile ;)
