Two generations

T.S.A continues to do really well, now over 22 lbs and eating solid food (rice cereal) once a day like a champ. Next week we're going to branch out into carrots or squash perhaps and turn him all orange. He is sitting up unassisted and has learned to flip over front to back and back to front and even reverse crawls around a bit. Won't be very long now before he is scooting across the floor, like a racecar judging by how much he likes to kick. Also he loves to grab things, anything and put it in his mouth. One thing he doesn't love but is actually picking up quickly is learning how to put himself to sleep. Previously he nursed himself asleep but we have put the foot down and he is starting to fall asleep by himself after just an hour of crying...ouch! Last night he slept thru the night for the first time in 3 weeks (so his parents did too) after crying himself to sleep. Tough on everyone but in just a couple more days he should be pretty good at it and we can all get our beauty rest. Just in time for a visit from a different set of grandparents as Pop & Mimi come in from MA!

Mud season
Blech! Sleet and wet snow every day here in Steamboat makes for a rather grey and nasty weekend. Winter is not quite ready to let go... Well nothing to do but stay inside, take a bath, watch the Tour of Flanders on tv and bake up some cookies! We think Trout's over 21lbs now and the second go 'round on solid food went a little better than the 1st. Gave him some water to drink too (amazing to think you could get to 6 months old without ever having a drink of water) and he has a similar face for both water and solid food...eeh. Like he smells something rotten.Tuesday, April 01, 2008
