Go Alford!

Wednesday night races in Boulder. Matt runs the singlespeed with a bit more success then last week while Rose heads up the cheering section. She was aching to get in there during the woman's race for sure!

Bike to Work Day

Gotta get up pretty early to ride into work with a pregnant lady...like 6:10am departure from Das Chalet
Neighbor Steph joins us before the paved drop down Magnolia

Free breakfast at Whole Foods...nice way to start the day normally, even better to get to ride in together, and get free grub!

3 hour tour of Carter Lake

With cousins Casey & Rachel Haymes in town and extended crew headed North to Carter Lake to picnic, swim and go sailing in Mom & Dan's homebuilt sailing canoe, the "Screaming Weasel". Jim Riley, Jen, Penny, Casey, Dan, Rachel and Rose chow down in the shade.

Santa Fe

Got down to Santa Fe for a quick vacation and visit with cousins Casey and Rachel Haymes, and Rose's old housemates Patrick and David. Stayed in a sweet adobe home outside of town and ate a lot of great Southwestern food, walked the dogs, swam, rode bikes, napped (a lot!) and hiked...pretty much exactly what we needed.

Casey Haymes, Casey's girlfriend Laura, Rachel Haymes, MOA on a hike

Bella and Betty resting in the sparse shade...it was HOT

Large and in charge!

Rose the podium girl

Though she still looks pretty skinny in this picture Rose is growing the Bug rapidly, her innie belly button is starting to turn into an outie and we had to cut off her belly button ring last night...ping! Only 4 months to go now and all is looking good so far, even a bit ahead of schedule. Yesterday we got out to the race course for the 1st of the Wednesday Night Race series here in Boulder only to have Brad (our wedding officiant) grab the coveted leaders jersey in the singlespeed class. MOA suffered at the back, and is a bit off the back of the +/- challenge with Rose. For every pound that Rose gains Matt loses 1/2 and so far Rose is +17 while Matt is only -7...time to eat some more celery!
