The town of Steamboat plowed all the snow back onto the Main drag for a weekend of races, kids pulled behind galloping horses, marching band on skis, etc. Pretty fun!Rescue Dog

Trout put on his big boy pants. He got his 6 month checkup on Monday at which point he was 18lbs and 27 1/2" tall, about the 80th percentile for 6 month olds. All is in proportion though his noggin is on the big side and he needs to work on his balance and coordination skills. His social skills are very well developed, laughing, "talking" recognizing people, etc. and in another month or so we can start him on some solid foods and start taking him outside more frequently. Right now is the height of RSV (cold) season and too risky...

Allright now let's build a treehouse!

Weather was so nice and warm we tried out the Chariot stroller (thank you everyone!) for the first time, worked like a charm and Trout fell right asleep as we strolled around town and watched the races. Plenty of room in there for groceries, picnic stuff, etc. This thing is going to be great as a bike trailer too and we had our first glimpse of what our daily life could be like when the weather warms up. So far we haven't really been able to take advantage of all the nearby parks, farmers market, shops, etc. so we are really looking forward to that.
